Johann Fust Community Library

The Johann Fust Community Library contains a wide variety of books, magazines and videos, as well as a children's room and a reference area that includes more than 10,000 volumes. Built in 1949, the library was given to the village of Boca Grande by winter residents Mr. and Mrs. Roger Amory. The beautiful pink stucco building is recognized for its welcoming carved cypress doors and an open-air loggia, complete with formal gardens and fountain.

Readings, lectures, children's activities, and other events are open to all island visitors. Membership to The Johann Fust Community Library is offered at many different levels, and a special complimentary Visiting Membership is offered to all guests of The Gasparilla Inn & Club. Complimentary transportation is also available to and from The Inn. The library is open seasonally. November through April hours are from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday) and 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Saturday). Off-season hours may vary during October, May, June and July.
