Johann Fust Community Library
The recently remolded Johann Fust Community Library contains a wide variety of books, magazines and videos, as well as a children's library with secret garden, state of the art media center and a reference area that includes more than 10,000 volumes. Built in 1949, the library was given to the village of Boca Grande by winter residents Mr. and Mrs. Roger Amory. The beautiful pink stucco building is recognized for its welcoming carved cypress doors and an open-air loggia, complete with formal gardens and fountain.
Readings, lectures, children's activities and other events are open to Inn guests and library members. Guests of The Gasparilla Inn & Club are welcome to use the library during their stay on the island. Island visitors may also obtain a temporary three month membership for $15.00. Complimentary transportation is available for all Inn guests. The library is open year round from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday) and 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Saturday).
Only three short blocks northwest of The Inn, the Johann Fust Community Library is located at 1040 W. 10th and Gasparilla Road.
